China Jasmine 1st Grade

Description

Nice, fragrant standard grade Jasmine with Jasmine flowers, which makes for a good presentation. The jasmine plant was brought to China from Persia before the third century A.D., and the intoxicatingly fragrant flowers made their first appearance in tea around the fifth century. The night-blooming flowers are picked in the morning and kept in a cool place till nightfall. Just as they are about to open, they are piled next to heat dried green tea leaves, which absorb the jasmine fragrance. This process is repeated two or three times for ordinary grades of tea, and up to seven times for very rare and expensive special grades.
